Ms. Ashley Judkins is the Site Director, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in Limestone, Maine. She manages the day-to-day operations conducted by more than 650 accounting personnel for the Department of Defense. DFAS Limestone personnel are responsible for providing accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounts maintenance and control, and audit support services to all of the operational Air Force, and the Air National Guard. The site also provides these same services to the Joint Service Command, US Transportation Command.
Prior to assuming her role as DFAS Limestone Director, Ms. Judkins served dual roles of Deputy Director and Director of Accounting Operations for the DFAS Europe since October 2019. She oversaw a variety of accounting and pay functions comprised of Local National Pay, Wounded Warrior Pay, foreign vendor payments, customer service inquiries, and disbursing functions within the European theater of operations. She has previously served in these positions: Program Manager for the Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS); Enterprise Solutions and Standards Accounts Receivable Director; Accounts Payable Director at DFAS Indianapolis; Enterprise Readiness Office, DFAS Rome; and a variety of positions located at DFAS Limestone.
Ms. Judkins’ federal career began in 2003, and has a span of 19 years of consistent service to DFAS. She is a Maine native. She has bachelor degrees in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Management from Husson University in Bangor, Maine. She has received numerous civilian awards including the Team Achievement Meritorious Performance Award from American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) for the Tracer Development Team, and Intern of the Year Unit under a Major Command.
