Christopher Petkas

Christopher Petkas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in defense and technology sectors. Currently serving in the AI/ML Portfolio at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) since August 2023, Christopher also holds a position as General Partner at Contrarian Thinking Capital since February 2023. Previous roles include Head of Defense at Modern Intelligence (2022-2023), Director of Strategy and Business Development - Defense & Intelligence at Axon (2021-2022), and Business Development at Primer.ai (August 2020 - October 2021). Christopher's military background includes serving as a Naval Special Warfare Officer (SEAL) from 2012 to 2020 and as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from 2010 to 2012. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Affairs from the United States Naval Academy.
