Heidi Paulus has extensive professional experience in the field of intelligence analysis and research. Heidi began their career as a Biologist at the US Army Medical Command in April 2001 and worked there until May 2007. Following that, they joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in October 2006 and served as a Program Manager at the Chemical Security Analysis Center until October 2007. In October 2007, they started working at the Defense Intelligence Agency as an Intelligence Analyst specializing in Chemical Health Threats. Heidi worked in this capacity until September 2017, when they were promoted to Senior Intelligence Analyst. In October 2020, they assumed the role of Senior Analytic Methodologist and then became the Deputy Research Director in January 2022.
Heidi Paulus has a Women in Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. Heidi holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Science and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Animal Behavior and Ethology from Towson University. Additionally, they are a Certified Defense All-Source Analyst - I, certified by the United States Department of Defense.
