Thomas Zimmerman

Thomas Zimmerman is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Chief of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Officer at the Defense Logistics Agency since February 2024. Previously, Zimmerman held the position of Public Affairs Specialist at the Naval Supply Systems Command Business Systems Center from March 2019 to February 2024, and served as the Carlisle Barracks Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Army Garrison Carlisle Barracks from January 2013 to March 2019. Earlier career involvement included coordinating public information campaigns at The United States Army War College. Thomas Zimmerman's educational background includes advanced degrees and certifications in Communications Studies, Public Relations, and Strategic Communications from institutions such as The University of Texas at Austin, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University, and Georgetown University, along with completing the Public Affairs Officer Qualification Course at the Defense Information School.
