Chad Stott

Chad Stott is a seasoned nuclear safety professional currently serving as a Resident Inspector for the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board since April 2023. Previously, Stott held the position of Resident Inspector at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from May 2014 to April 2023, representing the NRC at the South Texas Project. Stott's expertise also includes a role as a Nuclear Engineer at Norfolk Naval Shipyard from February 2012 to April 2014, where Stott was a federal civilian employee with the Department of the Navy. Earlier experience includes a contract position with the Department of the Army at The University of Alabama in Huntsville from November 2009 to February 2012, and an internship as an Engineer Intern at Innovative Combustion Technologies, Inc. in early 2009. Chad Stott holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
