Audrey Decker

Audrey Decker is an experienced journalist currently serving as an air warfare reporter for Defense One, focusing on the Air Force and Space Force's acquisition, budgets, and policymaking since March 2023. Prior to this, Audrey worked at Inside Washington Publishers from June 2021 to February 2023, leading coverage on emerging technology within the Pentagon and the Defense Department's investments in innovation. Additional reporting experience includes covering Maryland politics for Capital News Service and serving as a staff writer for The Diamondback at the University of Maryland. Audrey has also contributed as an editorial intern for UMD's Office of Sustainability and Crosby Marketing Communications and held the position of Editor-in-Chief for Afterwords Magazine during high school. Audrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
