Rob Mengert

Rob Mengert has diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Rob is currently employed as a Kubernetes Engineer at Defense Unicorns since April 2022.

Prior to this, Rob worked at Charter Communications for a significant period. Rob'sroles at Charter Communications include Principal Engineer II from May 2021 to March 2022, Principal Engineer from July 2019 to May 2021, and Senior Manager - Engineering from February 2017 to July 2019. In the latter role, they provided guidance to engineers on ongoing projects, collaborated with other teams to gather requirements for future projects, and managed vendor relationships.

Before joining Charter Communications, Rob was a Network Engineer III at Charter Communications from August 2014 to February 2017.

Rob's earlier work experience includes roles as a Network Operations Engineer at Nomura from July 2010 to July 2014, a Network Engineer at Pipeline Financial Group from December 2008 to June 2010, a Network Operations Engineer at Barclays Capital from September 2008 to November 2008, a Network Operations Analyst at Lehman Brothers from May 2006 to September 2008, and a Help Desk Agent at Lehman Brothers from May 2005 to May 2006.

Throughout their career, Rob has gained expertise in various areas such as network operations, engineering, and management.

Rob Mengert attended Stevens Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Rob has obtained several certifications. Rob completed an Introduction to Kubernetes course from The Linux Foundation in March 2020. In March 2021, they obtained the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification and in August 2021, they obtained the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification, both from The Linux Foundation. In July 2018, Rob obtained the CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) certification from Scrum Alliance. In June 2014, they earned the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certifications from Cisco.
