Daniel Wilches

Daniel Wilches has a diverse and extensive work experience in software development and engineering. Daniel is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at DefenseStorm since 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Alert Logic as a Senior Software Developer from 2013 to 2014. Daniel also had a role as a Senior Software Developer at Orion Labs (for Banco de Occidente) from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they worked at Banco de Occidente as a Software Architect from 2008 to 2010 and as a Software Developer (Systems Analyst) from 2005 to 2008. Their earliest work experience was at Universidad del Valle as a Web Developer from 2003 to 2005. Throughout their career, Daniel has gained experience in various programming languages and technologies, such as Java, TypeScript, C#, Python, Erlang, C++, PL/SQL, Perl, PHP, and JavaScript. Daniel has also worked with different databases and has experience in software design, development, and integration. Daniel is known for working in unsupervised environments and meeting deadlines.

Daniel Wilches received a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wyoming from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned another Master's Degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Los Andes between 2009 and 2011. In 2001, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Universidad del Valle (CO). In terms of certifications, they obtained the Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE 17 Developer from Oracle in May 2023, the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate from Oracle in May 2012, the Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert from Oracle in June 2010, and the SCJP 6: Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in October 2008.
