Roel Grooten

Roel Grooten is the Chief Technology Officer at Defenture B.V. since May 2023. Prior to this, Roel worked at Lightyear from July 2018 to May 2023, holding positions as Head of platform LY0, Vehicle Architect, and Lead Engineer. Before Lightyear, Roel gained engineering experience at Donkervoort Automobielen from February 2009 to June 2018. Roel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in various fields from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
