Founder and CPO at Defigo

Joachim Stray has a diverse work experience. Joachim is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Defigo USA Inc. and the Founder and CPO of Defigo. Joachim founded Defigo in 2014 and served as CEO until 2021 when the company entered a scale-up phase and hired a new CEO. In addition to Defigo, Joachim has also held roles such as Investment Partner at Vertical Empire AS, Amateur Photographer at @Jogimfoto, Founder and CBO of Stiftelsen til fremme for biers helse, Co-founder and Board Director of Climb Norway AS, Founder of Karko Risk Capital AS, and Founder and Board Chair of PAT the mailbox company. Prior to these roles, Joachim served as the Head of Remote Tower Technology at Avinor, where they were responsible for implementing sensor technology to replace airport towers. Joachim also worked as a Solution Architect at Thales, focusing on defense sector technology development.

Joachim Stray has a diverse education history. Joachim obtained a Master of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in Government from Harvard University, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 2004 to 2006, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management Control. Joachim completed their foundation in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School from 1998 to 2004. Earlier in their academic journey, Joachim Stray pursued a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1995 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Joachim Stray has also obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they acquired certifications in Advanced Open Water, Dry Suit, Nitrox, and Open Water from PADI, an institution that specializes in scuba diving training.
