Jose Antonio Vargas

Jose Antonio Vargas is the founder of Define American, a media and culture organization that seeks to elevate the conversation around immigration and citizenship in America. Prior to starting Define American, Jose was a senior contributing editor at The Huffington Post where they created and launched two new verticals: Technology and College. Jose has also worked as a reporter for The Washington Post and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Jose Antonio Vargas began their educational career as an undergraduate at San Francisco State University, where they studied political science and Black Studies.
