Isaac Rodríguez Bribiesca

NLP Engineer at Definely

Isaac Rodríguez Bribiesca has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Isaac started their career as a Research Student at IIMAS - Instituto de Investigaciones en Matemáticas Aplicadas y Sistemas from January 2017 to August 2018, where they focused on author clustering and style breach detection.

From February 2018 to July 2019, Isaac worked as a Big Data Developer at BBVA Next Technologies. In this role, they created and filled data dictionaries, executed Spark jobs, and organized algorithm problem-solving workshops.

Isaac then joined CIMAT as an NLP Teaching Assistant from February 2021 to May 2021, where they assisted in teaching NLP classes for Master/C.S. Bachelor students.

In July 2021, Isaac joined Botco.ai as a Machine Learning Engineer (NLP). Isaac worked on automating and improving the chatbot platform through AI, including tasks such as finetuning models, optimizing model performance metrics, applying clustering algorithms on text data, and creating MLOps pipelines.

In January 2023, Isaac joined Wild Me as a Machine Learning Researcher. Isaac developed, evaluated, and improved deep learning models for species identification. Isaac also trained and finetuned CNNs and Transformer models on computer vision tasks using PyTorch.

Lastly, Isaac is currently working at Definely as an NLP/CV Engineer since April 2023.

Isaac Rodríguez Bribiesca has a diverse education history. Isaac obtained a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics from the Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas A.C. from 2019 to 2021. During this time, their focus was on machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

Before pursuing their master's degree, Isaac completed a Micromaster program in Probability and Data Science from MITx Courses in 2019.

Isaac also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Their field of study during their undergraduate years is unspecified.

In addition to their formal education, Isaac has obtained various certifications. These include a Cohere Thanksgiving Hackathon Hackathon Certificate from lablab.ai in November 2022, a React Basics certification from Meta in November 2022, and HTML and CSS in depth certification from Meta in October 2022. Isaac also holds certifications in Programming in Python and JavaScript from Meta, obtained in July 2022. Furthermore, Isaac has certifications in several technical areas such as Github Actions Deep Dive, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE): Beginner to Pro from A Cloud Guru, and Natural Language Processing: NLP With Transformers in Python from Udemy, among others.

Though not explicitly mentioned, it is reasonable to assume that Isaac has obtained the necessary language proficiency certifications, such as the ILETS and FCE certificates, to demonstrate their English language skills.
