Charlie Beckett

Charlie Beckett is an experienced technical professional specializing in quality assurance and testing within the public sector. Currently serving as Principal Tester at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since November 2017, Charlie leads the QA & Test function and sets the technical strategy across multiple teams. Previous roles include Interim Head of Quality Assurance and Test, Technology and Standards Manager, and Lead Test Manager, where responsibilities encompassed compliance auditing and test assurance for critical programs. Prior to Defra, Charlie held the position of Senior Test Manager at the Environment Agency and Web Product Manager at the University of the West of England, contributing to various web and technical projects. With a solid educational background including a BSc in Computing Information Systems and a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management, Charlie possesses a wide array of skills in development, project management, and technical leadership.
