Claire Holland has extensive experience in policy advising and community engagement within the environmental sector. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since August 2019, Claire has focused on national biodiversity, waste and recycling, stakeholder engagement, and COVID-19 rural impact initiatives. Prior roles include Community Engagement Manager at the Open Data Institute, where responsibilities encompassed managing stakeholder relationships and developing communication strategies, and Community Engagement Officer at Mapping for Change, which involved citizen science projects and empowering communities. A background in community project delivery and communications is supported by education in Sustainable Development and Environmental Sciences from the University of Exeter and the University of East Anglia, respectively.
