Gareth Padfield is an experienced professional in environmental strategy and governance, currently serving as Head of International Marine Programmes & Strategy and Head of External Strategy and Governance (International Nature) at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since September 2023. Prior roles include Lead Strategy Advisor at the International Fund for Agricultural Development from September 2022 to September 2023, and Chief of Staff & Head of Strategy, Portfolio and Operations in International Biodiversity and Climate at the same department from July 2021 to October 2022.
