Mary Tomlinson currently serves as the Head of Marine Designations and Head of Chemicals Strategy at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since February 2017, after holding roles as a Senior Press Officer and Press Officer. Prior experience includes work as a Press Officer and Lead Adviser in Environmental Planning at Natural England from January 2014 to January 2017. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Birmingham and a Master's degree in Environmental Assessment and Management from Oxford Brookes University, where Mary was also a recipient of the Paul Hodgkinson Scholarship.
