Rachel Fisher is an experienced professional in policy and strategy with a focus on food security, land use, regeneration, and infrastructure. Currently serving as Deputy Director for Food Security and Strategy and Land Use Policy at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since September 2020, Rachel has previously held significant roles such as Deputy Director at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and Head of Policy at the National Housing Federation. With expertise in stakeholder engagement and strategic policy development, Rachel has effectively managed teams and led initiatives across various sectors, including urban design, climate change adaptation, and community development. Rachel holds an MSc in Urban Regeneration from UCL and a BA in Urban Studies from Barnard College, along with experience in European policy collaboration and parliamentary processes.
