Sarah S. has extensive experience in communications and digital engagement within the public sector. Currently, at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Sarah leads digital engagement activities for the Farming and Countryside Programme and serves as the editor of the Farming blog. Previously, Sarah was the Head of Communications for the Future Farming Countryside Programme, focusing on post-Brexit agricultural policies. Sarah also held the role of Senior Communications Adviser at the Cabinet Office, addressing complex governmental priorities, and worked as a Senior Writer and Lead Speechwriter at the Government Digital Service, crafting speeches for high-level officials. Early career highlights include editorial work at Shelter UK and Property Week, with recognition as IBP Young Journalist of the Year in 2012 and a commendation at the PPA New Talent Awards in 2013. Sarah holds an MA (Hons) in English from the University of St Andrews and an MA in Investigative Journalism from City St George’s, University of London.
