Sophie Kelly

Sophie Kelly currently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since July 2023. Prior to this role, Sophie held the position of Policy Advisor at the Department of Health and Social Care from August 2022 to July 2023. Relevant experience also includes serving as Activities Officer and Trustee at the University of York Students' Union from July 2021 to July 2022, and completing a Policy and Research Internship at Greater Manchester Poverty Action in mid-2020. Earlier experience includes a fundraising role at World Vision UK in 2019 and various sales positions at John Lewis & Partners and The Entertainer. Sophie holds a BA (Hons) in Social Policy from the University of York, obtained in June 2021, and completed A Levels and GCSEs at Loreto Grammar School from 2010 to 2017.
