Vanessa Liberson

Vanessa Liberson is currently an Air Quality Senior Scientific Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, a position they have held since 2018. Previously, they served as an Air Quality Policy Officer at Defra and worked as a Media Monitor and Communications Advisor at the Cabinet Office. Vanessa began their career as a journalist at Xinhua News Agency and completed a Blue Book traineeship at the European Commission. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Anthropology and Ancient History from University College London, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Master of Arts in Anthropological Research Methods from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Additionally, Vanessa has a diploma in Chinese language from Beijing Language and Culture University and a Certificate in Life Sciences from Birkbeck.
