Saiveer Punwasi

Saiveer Punwasi is a seasoned professional in purchasing and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Purchasing Specialist at Defy Appliances since May 2017. In this role, Saiveer develops strategies and actionable plans to achieve material cost targets while enhancing the supplier base in line with company objectives. Prior to this, Saiveer progressed through various roles at Defy Appliances, including Purchasing Specialist and Technical Buyer, demonstrating consistent expertise in supplier development and cost management. Earlier experience includes a position as a Junior Engineer at Brace Able Manufacturing, where responsibilities encompassed quality control, welding inspection, process flow design, and project management. Saiveer holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, earned between 2012 and 2015.
