Jon Hennessy

Jon Hennessy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as Executive Director of the Hughes Foundation since June 2015, Jon also chairs the Board of the Illinois Chapter for Defy Ventures as of March 2020. Previously, Jon was a member of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council for StreetWise, Inc. from September 2018 to June 2024, and held the positions of Director and Program Manager at The Hughes Foundation from January 2002 to June 2015. Jon holds a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship from DePaul University, earned between 2003 and 2006, and also attended North Central College from 2001 to 2003.
