Edson Barreto

Edson Barreto is an accomplished Human Resources professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Degas since December 2024, Edson focuses on transformative initiatives aimed at benefiting smallholder farmers globally. As a Founding Member of the Society for People Analytics since August 2024, Edson contributes to the evolution of people analytics in the field. Prior experience includes a tenure at South Pole as Global Senior Director of Human Resources, where strategic objectives were met through comprehensive planning and people analytics, and previously as Human Resources Manager at CTG Brasil, establishing key HR processes and driving growth in the clean energy sector. Edson holds advanced degrees from esteemed institutions, including a Global Executive MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and an Executive Program in People Analytics from the University of Cambridge.
