Hunter Lockhart, PG has extensive experience in geology and asset evaluation, particularly in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Hunter has worked for DeGolyer and MacNaughton since 2019, starting as a Geologist and progressing to Project Geologist, Senior Geologist, and eventually Vice President, Senior Geologist. In these roles, they conducted reserves auditing and asset valuation in various countries, including Angola, Algeria, Germany, Iraq, Libya, Mozambique, and the UK. Hunter also worked for BHP Billiton from 2013 to 2019, holding positions such as Unconventional A&D Geologist, Conventional Exploration Geologist, Unconventional Operations Geologist, and Conventional Development Geologist. Hunter contributed to significant divestment and development projects, including a $315 million divestment of an asset and a billion-barrel field appraisal in the Gulf of Mexico. Hunter also worked briefly as an Analyst for Hart Energy Publishing and as a Geologist for Xplore Oil & Gas. Hunter began their career as a High School Aerospace Scholar at NASA in 2006.

Hunter Lockhart, PG began their education in 2004 at Cistercian Preparatory School, where they pursued their high school education. After completing high school, they attended Texas A&M University from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. In 2011, they enrolled in Rice University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Geology in 2013.

In addition to their academic achievements, Hunter Lockhart has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2014, they completed training in Bloodborne Pathogen Training, First Aid CPR AED, and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Safety Awareness from various institutions. In 2016, they completed the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) program offered by Falck Safety Services (Global). Furthermore, they received the Professional Geologist certification from the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists in November 2017. Most recently, in July 2022, they became a Certified Petroleum Geologist through the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
