Daniel Hurst

Daniel Hurst is a Trainee Patent Attorney (Chemistry) at Dehns since September 2021, involved in global patent application prosecution for diverse clients, including SMEs, universities, and multinational companies. Previously, Daniel worked as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Liverpool, focusing on mobile robotics in organic synthesis, and completed a summer placement at Dehns, where practical insights into patent attorney work were gained. Prior experience includes a synthetic organic industrial placement at AstraZeneca, where Daniel contributed to the design and synthesis of drug candidates, along with a role as a Customer Assistant at Sainsbury's during academic studies. Daniel holds an Integrated Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of York.
