Francois Vaillant (He/Him)

Francois Vaillant has extensive work experience in the fields of media and telecommunications. Francois has held various senior roles throughout their career. From 1994 to 2005, they worked at Videotron Telecom Ltd, where they served as a Manager. In this role, they managed installations, technical support, and the development of the company's telecom network in the Province of Quebec. Francois also implemented crisis management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

In 2005, Francois joined CBC/Radio-Canada and held several positions. Francois first served as the Director of Technical Maintenance, where they led capital planning for the organization's technical infrastructure. Francois successfully drove the transformation to high definition in the Montreal studios and reduced operating expenses through efficient management of service contracts. In 2015, Francois was promoted to the role of Executive Director of Information Technology & Engineering. In this position, they led the planning, architecture, engineering, and implementation of CBC/Radio-Canada's technical and IT infrastructure. Francois defined the corporation's technical infrastructure strategy, deployed innovative projects, and presented them at conferences and in various media outlets.
