Kedra Herbert

Kedra Herbert Williams is an accomplished educator and leader with extensive experience in improving student and staff outcomes in K-12 educational settings. As Principal and Co-founder of DeKalb Brilliance Academy since January 2022, notable achievements include a 95% student return rate and 92% staff return rate, alongside national recognition among the top 10 BES schools. Previously, at Achievement First from July 2014 to January 2022, Kedra held various roles, including ES/MS Director of Student Experience, where strategic vision and leadership were pivotal in enhancing the student experience and achieving significant reductions in suspension rates. Kedra's educational background includes advanced degrees in Educational Leadership from the University of New England and a Master's in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Florida.
