Jörgen Backersgård

Jörgen Backersgård has extensive work experience in the industrial inspection sector. Jörgen started their career as the Managing Director of ÅF-Kontroll AB and Divisional Manager of the Inspection division. Jörgen was also a member of the ÅF Group Management Team. In 2010, Jörgen became the Managing Director of DEKRA Industrial AB, a leading technical inspection organization in Sweden with subsidiaries in Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Jörgen held this position until 2017 when they were promoted to the role of Director of Business Innovation. In 2019, Jörgen assumed the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Service Development at DEKRA. Jörgen is currently responsible for the International Region Scandinavia, Central, and Eastern Europe.

Jörgen Backersgård completed their education at Chalmers University of Technology from 1983 to 1989, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Kongahälla gymnasium in an unspecified time period.
