Prior to this role, Miguel held the position of General Manager at Casa Velas with Velas Resorts for one year, promoting the establishment as a secret oasis. From January 2018 to April 2022, Miguel was the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and from November 2013 to February 2018, served as Quality and Corporate Image Manager at Velas Resorts. Miguel's career began as Institutional Relations Manager at Grupo Milenio from January 2010 to November 2013. Educationally, Miguel earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Centro Universitario de Arte Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad de Guadalajara between 1995 and 2000.
