Lauren I.

Lauren I. has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Lauren began their career in 2006 as a Front Office Manager for the YMCA, where they managed office operations for the YMCA child care and aquatics center, registered attendees, and processed payments. In 2009, Lauren I. became a Client Specialist for J.Crew's Customer Service Headquarters, where they assisted brick-and-mortar retail store managers and associates with inquiries and service requests. In 2011, while attending Longwood University as a full-time student, they served as an Advertising & Marketing Specialist for the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, where they developed promotional materials and assisted with planning and executing the first Social Justice in Action Leadership Summit. In 2012, they became an Educational Consultant for Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority's National Headquarters. In 2013, they became an Account Coordinator for Padilla. In 2014, they became a Communications Specialist for Southside Electric Cooperative and a Program & Administrative Specialist for Communication Studies at Longwood University. Most recently, in 2019, Lauren I. became the Manager of Public Relations & Community Outreach for Delaware Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Lauren I. is currently enrolled at the University of Virginia, where they are studying Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. Lauren previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication Studies from Longwood University in 2012, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Central Virginia Community College in 2007. Lauren also has experience at Longwood University, although no degree or field of study was specified. In addition, they hold two certifications: a Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC) from NRECA obtained in June 2018, and a CPR & First Aid Instructor from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
