Waleed Shalaby

Waleed Shalaby, MD PhD, serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Delcath Systems since June 2025, where leadership in building and managing Medical Affairs teams has been a key focus. With extensive experience beginning in August 1996 at Poly-Med, Inc., as both a Board Member and Chief Science Officer, Waleed has provided strategic oversight on biomaterials and intellectual property for medical applications. Previous roles include Vice President of Medical Affairs and Clinical Science-Oncology at Galvanize Therapeutics, Executive Medical Director at Daiichi Sankyo, and Senior Medical Director positions at Novocure and AMAG Pharmaceuticals. Waleed's educational background includes a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an MD from the Medical University of South Carolina, complemented by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
