Bas Walraven is a PhD candidate at TU Delft since September 2021, focusing on high-resolution space-time monitoring of rainfall using opportunistic sensors. As the owner of Walraven Techniek since September 2017, Bas has successfully managed business operations. Previous experience includes an internship at Acacia Water B.V. in late 2018, where a surface water model was created in SOBEK to simulate the flushing of salt water in polders, and an internship at SimGas in late 2013, where business processes were optimized and implemented. Bas holds a Master’s degree in Water Management (Hydrology) from TU Delft, a Minor in International Development Studies from Wageningen University & Research, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from TU Delft, and an International Baccalaureate from International School Hilversum.
