Filipe Arroyo Cardoso

Filipe Arroyo Cardoso, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology since November 2022. Previously, Filipe served as a Postdoc Research Scientist in the Shepard Group at Columbia University from March 2018 to October 2022. As a co-founder and CTO of Magnomics from June 2013 to July 2020, Filipe contributed to the development of point-of-care diagnostic solutions. Filipe also held various roles at INESC-MN, including PhD and Master thesis Advisor, as well as Post-doc fellow on projects focused on nanophotonic devices and magnetoresistive sensors. Filipe received a PhD in Nanotechnologies and Biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico, where studies were completed from 2006 to 2010, having also completed an undergraduate degree at the same institution between 2000 and 2005.
