Michiel Kreutzer

Michiel Kreutzer is a prominent academic and researcher specializing in fluid mechanics, multiphase microfluidics, reactor engineering, and heterogeneous catalysis. Currently serving as the Department Head of Architectural Engineering & Technology and a Professor at Technische Universiteit Delft since May 2021, Michiel has held various esteemed positions including Professor and Dean of Science at Universiteit Leiden from January 2020 to May 2021, and Full Professor and Department Head of Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology from December 2003 to January 2020. Michiel's extensive educational background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MSc from the University of Groningen. In addition to academic roles, Michiel co-founded and served as CTO at Longcat, developing integrated devices for wireless communication. Tenured since 2007, Michiel has also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on microfabrication in chemical reactors.
