Ned Smith has over three decades of experience in the legal field. Ned began their career as an Attorney at Drummond Woodsum & MacMahon in 1987, where they worked until 1994. Ned then joined Bath Iron Works as a Litigation Manager for a year before moving on to Hannaford Bros. Co. in 1996, where they served as an Assistant General Counsel for 14 years. In 2010, they joined Delhaize America as the Director of Legal Affairs, a position they held until 2017 when they became the Director of Real Estate Law at Retail Business Services. Ned's expertise encompasses various areas of law, particularly in the retail industry.

Ned Smith completed their education at the University of Maine School of Law from 1984 to 1987. Ned earned a JD degree with honors and focused their studies on law. Prior to that, from 1972 to 1976, they attended Colby College, where they obtained a BA degree with honors, majoring in Government.
