Steve Schlackman

Steve Schlackman has worked in various roles since 1998. Steve was a Partner at Worldwide Healthcare Communications from 1998 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Owner of Fotofilosophy, Inc. During this time, they also served as Of Counsel at Savur Threadgold LLP and as Chief Product Officer and Legal Counsel at Artrepreneur. In 2015, they founded Schlackman Intellectual Property Law, PLLC, where they serve as a Patent Attorney specializing in patent prosecution and litigation, copyright and trademarks for the life sciences, technology, and art industries. Steve is also the Editor of the Art Law Journal, a site dedicated to educating and informing the artistic community about their intellectual property rights.

Steve Schlackman obtained their JD from the University of Miami School of Law in 2010, where they studied Patent Law. Steve also obtained a USPTO Category B from Miami-Dade College and University of Miami in 2010, where they studied Biology and Chemistry. Steve holds an MBA from Baruch College in Marketing, an MS from New York University in Public Health Management, and a BA from Tulane University in Political Science. In 2011, they obtained a Registered Patent Attorney certification from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is currently a member of the Florida Bar.
