Shane Byrne

Shane Byrne is a Senior Data Scientist (Economist) at Deliveroo, with prior experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Cleo, where contributions included designing a production-grade ML service and developing scalable ML pipelines. Previously, Shane served as an Economist at the Central Bank of Ireland, leading projects focused on consumer protection policy using behavioural and data science. Early roles included Associate Economist and Bank Executive within various divisions of the bank, as well as positions in student organizations and internships. Shane holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Economics, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science, all from Trinity College Dublin.
