Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation
Hugo Martinez is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Co-Medical Director for Heart Failure/Transplant and Genetics at Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation since March 2024. Previously, Hugo held various academic and clinical positions at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Additionally, Hugo contributed to the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital as Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Genetics Service and as a Pediatric Transplant Cardiologist, while also working as a Cardio-Oncology Physician Consultant at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Hugo's extensive training includes fellowships in pediatric cardiology and advanced heart failure and transplantation at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Indiana University Health, respectively. Hugo earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UPAEP and a United States Medical Degree from the University of Houston, with further medical education completed at various esteemed institutions.

Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas Foundation serves as the fundraising arm for Seton Family of Hospital’s Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, a part of Ascension. Through philanthropy, the Central Texas community helped build this outstanding regional facility. Our goal is to help make it one of the top children’s hospitals in the country. Together, we are creating a new standard in pediatric care. We are growing a world-class medical center dedicated to the care of children and adolescents, regardless of their families’ ability to pay. We offer help, hope, and healing to our children.
