Jon Akers

Jon Akers has extensive experience in computing and systems administration, currently serving as a Linux System Administrator at the University of Florida since 1999, and previously as an Information Technology Analyst at the McKnight Brain Institute. In addition, Jon Akers has held leadership positions as President and Vice President of the Dell XL HPC Consortium since 2015 and serves as a Board Member of the Dell EMC HPC Community since 2016, contributing to the advancement of high-performance computing technologies. Jon Akers began a career in technology with computer repair at Mother'sBoard Computers and served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Propulsion Electrician's Mate from 1993 to 1998. Academic qualifications include a BSBA in Computer Information Systems from the University of Florida and an AA in General Education from Santa Fe Community College.
