Umair Hashmi

Umair Hashmi, Ph.D., MBA, is an accomplished consultant specializing in 5G data science at Dell Technologies. In addition, Umair serves as a guest associate editor for Frontiers in Communications and Networks and has experience as a design specialist II at TELUS. Umair's academic background includes a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Toronto and a position as an assistant professor at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Umair earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma between 2015 and 2019, followed by further education at the University of Toronto in 2021-2022.
