Dan Rooney

Dan Rooney is a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, specializing in the Financial Services practice with a focus on investment management. Throughout their career, they have engaged with a variety of financial clients, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and broker dealers, while also serving as a resource for U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission matters. Before rejoining Deloitte in 2020, Dan held the position of assistant chief accountant at the SEC, where they interpreted new accounting regulations and directed financial reporting practices for investment companies. Dan earned a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Augustana College.
