Tish Fernandez

Tish Fernandez, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning nearly two decades. Tish began their career with GCUA in 2001, where they served as the Director of HR and Executive Assistant for over 13 years. In this role, they provided support to the organization's leadership team and handled various HR responsibilities.

In 2014, Tish joined Delta Community Credit Union and assumed the position of Manager of Talent Management. Tish excelled in this role for three years before being promoted to Manager of Employee Engagement. Tish developed and executed a credit union-wide engagement strategy, implemented metrics to measure employee engagement, and oversaw the operations and functions of employee events.

Tish's impressive contributions led to their promotion to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources in 2021. In this role, they aligned HR strategy, programs, and processes to contribute to the overall success of the organization. Tish also provided leadership and administration for various functional areas, including talent acquisition and management, employee engagement, and employee performance.

Tish's expertise and achievements ultimately led their to their current position as Vice President of Talent Management and Training at Delta Community Credit Union. Tish uses their strategic mindset and leadership skills to optimize talent management practices and drive employee development.

Tish Fernandez, PHR, obtained their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) degree from Gainesville State College in 2008. Tish pursued a field of study in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General during their time at the college. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University from 1993 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Tish Fernandez has also obtained several certifications. Tish received the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in January 2009. Furthermore, they hold a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM since December 2015. Tish Fernandez recently acquired two additional certificates in the field of Inclusive and Ethical Leadership and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, both obtained from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021 and December 2021, respectively.
