Ed Schooley serves as the Dental Director and Vice President at Delta Dental of Iowa since April 2001, where responsibilities include overseeing provider network management, professional relations, dental policy, and utilization management, along with strategic planning and budgeting. Schooley played a pivotal role in establishing and managing the Public Benefit Program, enhancing its prominence within the state. Prior to this, Schooley held the position of National Dental Director at Aetna US Healthcare/Prudential from 1998 to 2001, overseeing corporate clinical aspects of a National Quality Assurance Program. Schooley began a career at CIGNA Dental, serving from 1986 to 1998 as both Regional and National Dental Director, focusing on national dental policy development and multi-state provider network management. Education includes a Master of Health Administration from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa.
