Emily Montgomery

Emily Montgomery has a strong background in compliance, internal risk, and auditing. Emily began their career in 2006 as an intern at PwC and later worked as an Associate at the same company from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Delta Dental Plans Association where they held various positions including Internal Auditor, Manager Internal Audit, Member Company Compliance & Internal Risk Manager, Associate Director of Compliance & Internal Risk, and currently serves as the Director of Compliance and Internal Risk. Emily's experience spans over a decade and they have progressively advanced in their roles within the compliance and internal risk field.

Emily Montgomery completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in 2006. Emily also pursued a Minor in Spanish Language and Literature during the same period. In 2007, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Accounting from the same institution.

In terms of additional certifications, Emily obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in January 2020. Emily also acquired the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in February 2020. Additionally, they obtained the Registered Scrum@Scale Practitioner™ certification from Agile Education by Scrum Inc.™ in February 2023, and the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in May 2023.
