Jay Taylor has been a Data Center and Energy Storage Strategist since 1985. Jay began their career as a Product Specialist at Schlumberger in 1985. In 1990, they moved to AT&T Tridom, where they served as Director of Engineering and Operations. In 1997, they joined Dell, Inc. as a Senior Engineer Global Strategist. In 2009, they were appointed Liaison Committee Chairman of The Green Grid Association. In 2012, they were appointed Chairman of Standards Committee 39 Sustainability of Data Centres and IT at JTC1 (ISO/IEC). In 2010, they joined Schneider Electric as Director Global Standards, Regulations & Policies. In 2022, they joined Delta Energy & Communications, Inc. as Vice President of Government Affairs. In this role, they developed a list of States, Non-Affiliated Territories, and Tribal Nations to organize sales efforts, and worked with the Department of Commerce, NTIA, FCC, and many State and Non-Affiliated Territories, and Tribal Nations to acquire funding supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act IIJA). Jay also identified State agencies responsible for the grants and work application efforts.
Jay Taylor has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University. In 2012, they obtained an ISO Committee Chair Certificate from ISO Leadership Training in the field of Engineering. Additionally, they have two certifications from LinkedIn, Developing Credibility as a Leader and Leading without Formal Authority, which they obtained in February 2021.
