Catherine Semaan

Catherine Semaan is a dedicated student at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Currently serving as an Honor Board Junior Member for Delta Gamma, Catherine fosters accountability and integrity within the chapter, building on previous experience as the Director of Scholarship. Catherine contributes to innovative projects as a member of the Cal Poly EMPOWER Student Association, working on a weightlifting prosthetic for Dr. Retsek and previously developing an accessible golf tracking device. In addition to research at the Cal Poly Mobile Biomechanics Lab focusing on biomechanics and musculoskeletal issues, Catherine has applied organizational skills in environmental health and safety during an internship at Vast and has gained experience in various volunteer and internship roles, including a paid internship in CRISPR technology at the Bayha Group.
