Damien McKay has extensive work experience in the environmental and construction industry. Damien is currently working as a Construction Manager - New Business at Delta Group and Grange Environmental Services. Prior to this, they worked as a Discipline Manager - Environmental and Principal Environmental Consultant at Tonkin + Taylor. Damien also served as the Director at Remdev Services Pty Ltd. Damien has held management positions at EESI CONTRACTING PTY LTD and Enviropacific Services, where they were responsible for general management, project oversight, and business development. Damien started their career as a Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager at Golder Associates and also worked as an Environmental Scientist. Damien has a strong background in remediation and rehabilitation projects and has been involved in major projects such as the remediation of Armidale Gasworks.
Damien McKay has a diverse education history. Damien began their academic journey in 1992 at Davidson High School, where they completed their Higher School Certificate in 1997.
In 1998, Damien enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth & Environmental Science. Damien successfully completed this program in 2001.
During their time as an undergraduate student, Damien also pursued additional certifications and training. In 2001, they attained a Statement of Attainment in Drilling DRT NH07A (Shallow Auger Drilling) from the Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee.
In the same year, Damien also obtained a Diploma in Scientific Practice with a specialization in Irrigation Science from the University of Technology Sydney.
Continuing their education, Damien pursued a Master of Science degree in Hydrogeology & Groundwater Management at the University of Technology Sydney. Damien completed this program in 2002.
Damien'scommitment to professional development is evident through their certification as a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) from the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) in January 2009.
