Eric Lyons has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric began their career in the US Army, where they served as an enlisted soldier from 2000 to 2001. Eric then worked as a mechanic in the 82nd Airborne Division from 2001 to 2006 and later as a mechanic in 5th CRT, 202 BSB, 4th BDE 2ID from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011, Eric served as a maintenance supervisor in the 92nd MP Battalion before joining the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne) - US Army, where they held the same position from 2011 to 2016.

In 2016, Eric transitioned to the civilian sector and joined SOCNORTH as a Facilities and Maintenance Manager. Eric held this role until 2021 when they joined Colarelli Construction as a Shop Manager for a brief period from June to August 2021. From August 2021 to August 2022, they worked as a Facilities Manager at LinQuest.

Currently, Eric is employed at Delta Solutions and Strategies as a Facility Operations and Planning Manager for the U.S. Space Command, starting from August 2022.

Eric Lyons attended Bedford-North Lawrence High School from 1996 to 2000. After high school, they enrolled at Fayetteville Technical Community College and studied Maintenance Management, completing their education in 2014. In 2012, Eric obtained a Certificate in Welding Technology (MIG, TIG, STICK & OXYACETYLENE) from the same institution. Additionally, they completed the Staff Education Course at Joint Special Operations University from an unknown start year to 2017, focusing on Theater Special Operations Command. Eric pursued further education through a Master Resilience Training Course, earning a Certificate from the U.S. Army and the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Eric also obtained a Certificate in Support Operations by completing a course at the U.S. Army Logistics University in 2018. Finally, Eric completed their education with a Professional Development Certificate in Senior Maintenance Management from the U.S. Army Logistics University in 2017.
