Dave Schaller

Managing Partner at Delta-v Capital

Dave is a founding managing partner of Delta-v Capital. His many years of private equity experience come through direct investment in, or C-level management of, venture backed companies. Before founding Delta-v, Dave was a Managing Director at CenterPoint Ventures where he led the firm’s investment interests in media, mobile, and communication infrastructure and services. He is currently on the Board of ExteNet Systems and NSS Labs. His previous Board roles include: BorderFree (NASDAQ:BRDR), Drillinginfo, InGrid/LifeShield (Sold to DTV), Inoveon (Sold to ifa systems AG), and Light Biology (Sold to Nimblegen/Roche).

Prior to his career in venture capital, Dave co-founded three venture backed companies. He was an initial co-founder of BizRate.com/Shopzilla.com (sold to E.W. Scripps) and was a co-founder, Director, and EVP-U.S. Operations for OraMetrix. Additionally, Dave was a co-founder and the Chairman of Light Biology (merged with Nimblegen/Roche). Prior to his entrepreneurial experience, Dave was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. While at BCG, he focused on clients in health care, software, and communication services; and was a member of the launch team for Williams Communications’ nationwide fiber optic network in 1997. He spent the early years of his career in sales and marketing at the Dow Chemical Company.

Dave received his M.B.A. with Distinction from The Wharton Graduate School of Business, where he was also named a Palmer Scholar. He also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
