Managing Partner at Delta-v Capital

Rand is a founding Managing Partner of Delta-v Capital. Rand began investing in private venture and growth stage companies in 1999. He began his investing career at Centennial Ventures where he was a Managing Director.

Rand’s investment focus areas include IT services, information services, SaaS, cloud infrastructure and services, and wireless. His investments include 2ndWatch, CloudSherpas (Sold to ACN), Cradlepoint, euNetworks, FDN Communications/NuVox (Sold to WIN), Inflow (Sold to Sungard), LogRhythm, Lytx (Sold to GTCR), Market Force Information (Sold to Mainstreet Capital), New Global Telecom (Sold to CMCSA), Optasite (Sold to SBAC), TradeKing (Sold to ALLY), Tristar (sold to CCI), Walz (Sold to LenderLive), Fandom, and Zayo Group (NYSE: ZAYO). Prior to joining Centennial Ventures, Rand was an associate at McKinsey & Company where he served clients in telecommunications and other industries. Rand started his career as a software engineer at US WEST.

Rand received his M.B.A. from The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds a M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Colorado, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
